Ilumetris, new quintet project featuring Internationally award winning horn players Tom Thorp (Saxophone) and Neil Yates (trumpet). They bring a special preview showcase of their up-coming album “Here, there be monsters…” which explores the stories of mythical creatures from around the world. Conjuring vivid images of ancient gods, fantasy worlds and dangerous leviathans, the music is melodic and open, whilst filled with a complex textured, contemporary edge and virtuosic improvisation.
