Audition – The Day After the Fair

On Thursday 12th July, Paulette holds an audition for the autumn production of ‘The Day After the Fair’ by Frank Harvey, to be staged Tuesday 9th – Saturday 13th October and set in the 19th Century. A servant girl, Anna, meets an attractive stranger, Charles, at the fair. A second meeting leads to not unexpected consequences and as Charles has to return to his job in London, Anna, who cannot read and write, persuades her mistress to write to Charles on her behalf.
