Nora – A Doll’s House by Stef Smith
A summary of cast and play are below from director, Denise Barry.
CHARACTERS
Nora 1 – wife of Thomas set in present day
Nora 2 – ” ” ” set in 1960s
Nora 3 – ” ” ” set in 1890s
Thomas – a banker and Nora’s husband.
Daniel – family friend.
Nathan – an employee at Thomas’s bank
Christine – a friend of Nora.
The characters of Thomas, Daniel, Nathan & Christine will involve doubling up
All characters will be aged 20s to 40s
Play performance is May 14th to 18th 2024
Rehearsals start in March
This bold new version of Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’ reframes the drama in 3 different time periods. An urgent, poetic play that asks how far have we really come in the past 100 years?
