The Issey Chivers Quartet.

Issey Chivers is a vocalist, based in Leeds. Influenced by greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Amy Winehouse and Eva Cassidy, her project, The Issey Chivers Quartet, is a group that allows her to use her voice creatively, exploring dreamy soundscapes and driving grooves. 

Playing repertoire inspired by the music of artists like Veronica Swift, Jazzmeia Horn and Emma Smith, their set of both arrangements of standards and originals encompasses playful melodies and thoughtful improvisation. The group features Issey Chivers (voice) and excellent instrumentalists and improvisers – Joseph Frost-Tesfaye (piano), Chris Williams (double bass) and Senan McCullough (drums). The Issey Chivers Quartet draws on the jazz tradition while merging moments of folk and singer-songwriter influence.’

The box office is able to take bookings for one gig at a time, but do make a note of the dates which are of interest to you during our forthcoming season so that you can make your bookings at the appropriate time.

If possible, make your requests via email, but don’t forget to give us a little bit of notice if you know that you are going to be unable to attend.  We appreciate that there will always be unavoidable, unforeseen circumstances, but clearly we want to make places available and fill all possible seats, particularly for gigs in high demand.

We are not a profit making organisation, but we do want to keep breaking even in order to keep music live.
